Sarkodie is closing in on a landmark London date. More than 75 per cent of tickets for his Rapperholic UK concert at The O2 Arena on Saturday, 6 March 2027, have already been sold, according to a report by the Ghana News Agency, putting the rapper on course to become the first Ghanaian artiste to headline and fill the more than 20,000-capacity venue.
The official listing on The O2 confirms the show is on sale for Ghana’s 70th Independence Day anniversary weekend, with doors at 6:30 pm. The venue page notes a surprise guest line-up for what organisers are billing as a major Rapperholic UK return after Sarkodie’s earlier sold-out London debut.
To keep the push going, Sarkodie and his team have embarked on a promotional swing across African markets under the banner #TheAfricanDiaries. He is currently in Kenya, where he has met Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones and paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Paul Evans Aidoo, as reported by GNA. The itinerary is also expected to take him to Tanzania, Ivory Coast and Nigeria.
In a post on X on Friday, Sarkodie shared photos from the Kenya stop and wrote that there is “no place like Home ‘AFRICA’,” joking that Kenya should adopt him already.
The African tour is being framed by organisers as more than sightseeing. Berny Sarfo, chief executive of Bizzle Entertainment and co-organiser of the UK show, told GNA the trip is meant to position the O2 concert as a pan-African celebration and open doors for collaborations or guest appearances.
“This is the first time an artiste and promoter have embarked on a tour together ahead of a major concert,” Sarfo said, adding that the majority of tickets already sold shows how determined the team is to make history. Before London, Sarkodie is still billed to stage the annual Rapperholic Concert in Accra on 25 December, following his recent Homecoming show in Kumasi.
