Medikal has unveiled the official cover art for his long-awaited album Spaceship and says it will finally arrive in November, after he missed his original October target.
The rapper shared the artwork in a post on X on Saturday morning, along with an apology to fans for the delay.
“Sorry for the wait. November we feast,” he wrote. The cover shows Medikal in profile, wearing a white spacesuit and a helmet lit with glowing red neon, against a starry sky with Earth below. It also carries a Parental Advisory label.
Medikal has not yet given an exact release date or shared the tracklist or features.
Spaceship has been a long time coming. Medikal first teased the title on X in May as an EP, and in July he took “Road 2 Spaceship” to Takoradi for a performance at Indomie Fest. In August he said the project had grown into a full album and announced that it would be released in October. He kept promoting it through September and October, including a post on 27 October describing it as “Call of Duty 12. #SPACESHIP.”
Saturday’s post confirms that the album has moved to November. Many fans replied with jokes about the delay but said they were still looking forward to it, MyGhanaDaily reports.
The announcement comes after a busy week for the rapper. He released the single “Stay Strong” and featured on Mr Drew’s “Steeze” earlier this week. He also told fans on X that he would be performing live this Saturday.
Spaceship will be the latest in a long line of projects from the BYK (Beyond Kontrol) boss. Fans will now be watching for an exact release date.
