Kwesi Arthur takes his Redemption Valley Tour to New York City tomorrow, Saturday, 7 November, with a live-band show at SOB’s (Sounds of Brazil) on Varick Street. The venue’s official listing confirms doors at 6:00 pm, tickets at $37 and an 18+ age limit for the Manhattan date.
According to SOB’s, the night will mix songs from Arthur’s latest album with fan favourites, framed around the Redemption Valley theme of struggle, survival and self-reclaiming. Event listings on Eventbrite place the performance in the same window, with the show billed through the evening at the historic downtown venue.
The New York stop was first flagged publicly in October, when Ghanaian outlet Ghana Songs reported that Arthur had shared a joint “Live in New York City” poster with SOB’s and told fans he looked forward to seeing them on 7 November. That announcement fits a busy autumn for the Tema-born rapper and singer, who is also on the line-up for Davido-headlined Tidal Rave 2026 later this month in Accra.
Redemption Valley has been the through-line of Arthur’s recent run, and the tour name signals that New York audiences should expect material from that project alongside older favourites that built his following from Grind Day onwards. SOB’s has long been a landing spot for African and diaspora acts looking for an intimate room with a serious live reputation, which makes the booking a natural fit for a band-led set rather than a festival fly-in.
For the Ghanaian diaspora in the Tri-State area, the SOB’s date is a rare mid-size room to catch Arthur with a live band. The venue sits at 204 Varick Street in Manhattan, and tickets remain listed through SOB’s and partner platforms ahead of Saturday’s doors. Fans who cannot make Accra’s bigger festival stages this month now have a New York option one night before the Hogbetsotso weekend peaks back home.
