Sarkodie has announced “Cold” as the second single from his upcoming DeJaVu EP, with the song set for release this Friday, 30 October. The rapper shared the news in a post on X early on Wednesday, 28 October, along with new artwork and a pre-save link for fans.
“Second single off #DeJaVu EP #Cold out this Friday 30th October!!” he wrote.
“Cold” follows the EP’s lead single, “Deja Vu”, a love song featuring KiDi that arrived on Friday, 16 October with an official visualiser. As reported by NowAccra, Sarkodie first unveiled the project and its cover art with the words: “Good music season! #DeJaVu OUT November 27th 26 .. first single OUT this Friday 16th Oct.”
The five-track EP is due on 27 November 2026. According to NowAccra and Bénin Web TV, the tracklist comprises “DeJaVu”, “Antigua”, “Nobody”, “Cold” and “Promises”, which means fans will have heard two of the five songs before the full project lands. No featured artists have been announced for “Cold” so far.
The announcement comes just days after Sarkodie headlined the second Kumasi edition of his Rapperholic concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, 24 October, a night on which he said more than 55,000 fans turned up. KiDi was among the acts who joined him on stage, according to Adomonline. You can read more about that night in our Rapperholic Kumasi report.
Sarkodie is also among the nominees for Man of the Year – Music at the 11th EMY Africa Awards, which take place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, 21 November, less than a week before the EP is due.
With a new single every couple of weeks in the run-up to the EP, Sarkodie appears to be building steady momentum towards the end of the year. “Cold” is available to pre-save now ahead of its release on Friday.
