Accra’s DJ-and-MC showcase 100DegreesX returns tonight. Kabutey Ocansey, known as Kabutey My Mc, and The Wuushman stage the second edition at The Underbridge Annex in East Legon on Friday, 6 November, as reported by MyJoyOnline and GhanaGuardian.
Unlike a conventional concert built around a run of guest artistes, 100DegreesX puts the partnership between the DJ and the master of ceremonies at the centre of the night. The organisers blend music selection, storytelling, audience interaction and themed segments into one continuous show rather than a string of separate performances.
The maiden edition at the National Theatre in October 2025 set that template. A happy hour with DJ Adom and MC Dave Lamptey opened the evening, before Violin Boyfriend, Fati Music and GG Brass warmed the room. Actor Adjetey Annan then stepped out as Pusher, his role from the 1990s series Things We Do for Love, before Kabutey My Mc and The Wuushman took the crowd through gospel, jama, political campaign songs from 1992 to the present, and a tribute to late Ghanaian musicians linked with Ebony, Castro and Daddy Lumba. Highlife legend Kojo Antwi’s surprise turn on “Enfa Me Nkohor” was one of the night’s biggest moments, with DJ Vyrusky and MC Myster Pratt closing the afterparty.
Organisers have not yet published the full line-up for 2.0 in the information carried by MyJoyOnline, but the format again places Kabutey My Mc and The Wuushman at the heart of the experience. Regular tickets cost GH¢300 and are available by dialling *928*12#. Only 20 VIP tables are on offer, with reservations via WhatsApp on 0262379854.
For Accra’s live crowd, tonight is another chance to see a show that treats the DJ and MC as creative performers in their own right, not just the people who keep the night moving between acts.
