Ghanaian reggae artiste Blakk Rasta will perform at the Ghana Jamaica Homecoming Festival, which takes place at the Legon Sports Stadium in Accra on Saturday, 5 December 2026.
The news came from the festival’s founder, Grammy-winning Jamaican singer Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage, who announced the booking on Tuesday, 27 October. In a post on X, Morgan described Blakk Rasta as an “award-winning reggae artist and dub poet behind Kuchoko, reggae fused with African sounds, and the voice behind ‘Congo Bongo’ and ‘Barack Obama’”, and called on anyone with “Ghana or Jamaica in your blood” to attend.
As reported by DancehallMag, Blakk Rasta is the latest name confirmed for the event, and the full line-up has not yet been announced. Morgan’s post also tagged Morgan Heritage, Dadason Entertainment and Samini, although no further acts have been officially confirmed. In an earlier post the same day, Morgan wrote: “Ghana will see you soon at my Festival December 5th 2026.”
According to the official festival website, the Ghana Jamaica Homecoming Festival runs from 4 to 5 December 2026 in Accra and celebrates the cultural links between the two countries through music and heritage. The event was launched in April this year.
The official ticketing page lists a conference, trade and exhibition day on Friday, 4 December, followed by the main concert on Saturday, 5 December. Concert tickets are priced at GHS 200, GHS 500, GHS 800 for VVIP and GHS 1,500 for backstage access. The festival flyer says gates open at 12 noon, and ticket details are also available by dialling *920*63*00#.
Blakk Rasta is known for blending reggae with African sounds in a style he calls Kuchoko, and his inclusion gives the festival a strong Ghanaian reggae presence alongside its Jamaican headliners. With the event falling at the start of December, it adds to a busy festive season of concerts in Accra.
