Sarkodie wins BET award but fans worldwide angry at BET

Sarkodie Sarkodie made history yesterday as he took the BET International Act: Africa award after Kojo Antwi and D-Black failed to win in that category. Sway also missed out to grab the award this year.
According to BET Awards, this year the category was won by Sarkodie and Wiz Kid who is signed to Akon’s Konvict Musik label.

But a section of the media and Ghanaian fans around the world are peeved with BET Awards for not telecasting Sarkodie receiving the award.

Fans are angry with the way BET Awards handled the International Act: Africa category and it makes it look they are doing Africans a favour by not letting Sarkodie walk onto the stage to accept the award and say his acceptance speech.

A fan of Sarkodie commented that these same blacks quarrel with organizers of Grammy’s if they are not accorded what the whites have been given on the Grammy’s platform.

A quick call to one of the managers said that, “A lot of things happen back stage that does not come live on TV”.

Sarkodie is yet to comment on this issue as he is busily preparing for his BET Awards party on 3rd July in Atlanta and jet off to Canada for another concert.

A hearty congratulations to Sarkodie once again from the Ghanamotion team.
