Sarkodie loses out on Nigerian Entertainment Award to Viviane Ndour


Sarkodie Ghana’s fastest rapper and BET Awards Best African Act winner, Sarkodie perhaps suffered his most unexpected loss on the global awards stage yet when he lost out on the Nigerian Entertainment Awards gong for Pan African Artist Or Group Of The Year. The award went to Viviane Ndour, a Senegalese pop singer who is the former sister-in-law of Youssou N’Dour. She is also best known as the ‘Queen of Mbalax’.

Also in the category were HHP, Cabo Snoop, Donaeo and Noni Zondi. Ghana also lost out in the movie categories with no wins for Majid Michel, Yvonne Okoro and Juliet Ibrahim. The ceremony was held on Sunday night in New York and here are some of the winners:
