Kaakie & Samini The self-acclaimed “African Dancehall King”, Samini, together with Kaakie aka the “First Lady of African Dancehall” have finished videoshoot for their hit single “Body Flame”.

As the Ghana Music Awards draw closer, there are rumours already spreading that both artistes are likely to climb the same stage with this hot joint “Body Flame”, produced by renowned Ghanaian sound engineer JMJ Baby.

“Body Flame” was released during the last quarter of 2012 but swiftly climbed to the music charts with massive airplay on radio and online with non-stop plays in the night clubs and other open joints across Ghana to Europe and USA.

Besides, Kaakie is also due to debut her first official music video for “Too Much” which was shot and directed by Phamous Philms.

Kaakie came under recent criticisms for “delaying so much” in the release of her music videos since she sprout onto the Ghana and international music scene.

Elaborating on video delays, Kaakie responded that “I work with a team; I am signed to a record label (Xtra Large Music) and the way things work under a strict label is different from the way the public would want it. Yes, for sure there has been delays but I find it better to make well cut out plans to drop my music videos than to rush and drop something that is sub-standard or not good at all. My songs are very huge songs and therefore needs very creative directors to build concepts that can match up to or give a bigger image to myself and my videos, thus boost my brand. But very soon, my official music videos will hit the screens soon. I am also working hard towards my debut album launch as well as keeping up with school; and it has not been an easy task trying to blend school, talent and profession. Apart from my videos, I have been doing enough works in the studio so all my fans should expect more hot and touching songs from me this year and beyond. I am not slowing down for a second. The game continues. Kaakit Up!”

Samini on the other hand however feels extremely excited “working with Kaakie right from the studio sessions to shooting on set. It has been a great euphoria altogether. Everything is going on well and we hope the results beomces something much bigger. High Grade elevated. Akye saaaaa. Boiie. Booiie!”
