Organisers apologize for cancelling United Sounds of Africa concerts

Ice Prince & J-Martins Management company Now Muzik have released a statement along with Chocolate City and Hypertek Entertainment apologizing for the cancellation of the last three United Sounds of Africa concerts which were to be held from August 9-12.

Fans in the cities of Toronto, Chicago and Los Angeles had their hopes dashed when Nigerian artistes 2face, Timi Dakolo, J Martins, Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz and BrymO failed to perform at the previously announced venues.

Now Muzik says the artistes had ‘looked forward to connecting with their numerous fans in all the cities listed and the crew back in Nigeria had worked extremely hard to ensure that the experience was pleasant and unforgettable’.

They faulted themselves for working with a Mr Bunmi Jinadu and Interglobe Entertainment Group. Jinadu and IEG had been contracted to handle the US end of arrangements as regards the concert tour.

An E-mail sent to Mr Jinadu had not be replied as at the time of this report.

‘To the fans who came out to support African music and its leading lights everywhere from Atlanta, through DC, New York and Chicago, we reserve the biggest gratitude’, Efe Omorogbe, CEO, Now Muzik expressed.
