KiDi, King Promise and Medikal led the headline performances as the 2026 Hitz-Joy Beach Rave came off on Saturday, 31 October, at Rehab Beach Club in Labadi, Accra. The event was organised by Hitz 103.9 FM and Joy 99.7 FM, both part of the Multimedia Group, and MyJoyOnline, the group’s news site, reports that it brought together 19 performers for an afternoon and evening of live music, DJ sets and beachside entertainment.
Hitz FM shared a clip of KiDi’s set in a post on X late on Saturday night, saying he served “hit after hit as the crowd sings, dances and enjoys every moment”.
According to MyJoyOnline, KiDi performed songs from his catalogue, including Touch It, Odo and Enjoyment, alongside material from his 2026 album, Where Do We Go From Here. King Promise performed songs including Terminator, CCTV and Paris, showcasing his blend of Afrobeats, highlife and R&B.
The three headliners were joined on the line-up by dancehall and reggae artiste Ras Kuuku, singer Morgan Nero and the duo Lali X Lola. Hitz FM said the party got under way in the afternoon, when presenters Naa Adjele and Doreen Avio kicked things off on stage.
Between the live acts, DJs kept the music going. MyJoyOnline lists sets from Merqury Quaye, Andy Dosty, DJ Raennie, DJ Fantastic, DJ Dhon K, DJ Shaker HD, DJ Ikon and DJ Wobeti, while games and other beachside activities gave patrons more ways to enjoy the day.
The event was sponsored by StarOil, Ayuda and Kivo. MyJoyOnline describes the Beach Rave as part of the two stations’ efforts to connect with their audiences beyond their regular broadcasts through music, entertainment and live experiences.
Ghanamotion reported earlier in the week that King Promise and KiDi had been billed for the show.
